Slaves and other property were seized and sold at public sale after the death of Alexander Bookter by the Sheriff of St. Helena Parish for the payment of Bookter's debts. Affidavits of Ann Liles, William Liles, and John Mink regarding ownership of slaves and other property in the estate of Alexander Bookter. Alexander Bookter is my 6th great-grandfather. He was a former alcaide of St. Helena. I am directly related through his daughter Nancy but I am also related through his daughter Elizabeth through the Facundus line. I thought he died in 1815 but this information makes it look like he died in 1805.

Spanish West Florida, U.S., Archives of the Spanish Government, 1782-1816. These records are on ancestry.com and shows that he died in 1824
